Common Names: Cutleaf mignonette
Plant Form: Sprawling or upright perennial herb. Size: Up to 80 cm tall. Stem: Hairless, sometimes with minute warty growths. Leaves: Initially unlobed rosette with toothed edges, higher up with 3-7 narrow lobes. Flowers: Numerous 5-petaled yellow flowers in cylindrical groupings 10-40 cm long at the top of plant. Fruit and Seeds: Egg-shaped capsules 8-13 mm long with 3-angles and 3-toothed at tip. With 20-30 brown shiny seeds per capsule. Habitat: Disturbed areas, croplands, roadsides, riverbanks. Distinguishing Features: Differs from other Reseda species in having deeply multilobed leaves. Impacts: Contaminates produce, competes with crop and native species.
