Common Names: Dodder
Plant Form: Leafless parasitic vine. Size: Varies substantially based on host species and growth. Stem: Thread-like from yellowish-green to pink. Flowers: White or cream bell-shaped with 3-5 petals. 3-4 mm wide in clusters. Fruit and Seeds: Globular capsules 3-4 mm wide. Habitat: Riverbanks, waterways, floodplains, cropping areas. Distinguishing Features: Lack of leaves and chlorophyll making them yellowish or pink distinguishes it from other parasitic vines like Cassytha species.
