Common Names: Calomba daisy

Plant Form: Erect annual herb. Size: Up to 60 cm tall. Stem: Simple or branched. Leaves: Very finely divided, up to 4 cm long, grey-greenish, hairy, stem-clasping at base, aromatic when rubbed. Flowers: Yellow button daisy-like flowerheads 3-6 mm across, arranged in large groupings. Fruit and Seeds: 1-1.5 mm long, brown, ribbed, with short white scales at top. Habitat: Paddocks, roadsides, seasonally inundated areas. Distinguishing Features: Differs from the popular ornamental shrub Cotton lavender (Santolina chamaecyparissus) in being herbaceous.
