Common Names: Bitter weed

Plant Form: Annual herb. Size: Up to 60 cm tall. Stem: Smooth and branching. Leaves: Smooth, narrow, thread-like, light green to blueish grey. Flowers: Bright yellow, daisy like, up to 2 cm diameter with lobed and separated petals. Fruit and Seeds: Tiny, dry, one seeded fruit (achene). Habitat: Pastures, roadsides, disturbed land. Distinguishing Features: Similar to other daisies, distinguishable by the listed combination of characteristics. Impacts: Toxic to livestock, competes with native understory species.
