Leaves: Lance-shaped, up to 7 cm long in a rosette at base, stem leaves are smaller, hairy and with small round glands. Flowers: In heads with yellow daisy-like flowers. Strap-like petals. Fruit and Seeds: Capsule like, hairy, sometimes with glands. Habitat: Overgrazed pastures, disturbed areas, river flats, bare ground. Distinguishing Features: Strong smell, glands on stems and leaves. Impacts: Causes persistent dermatitis, unpalatable, taints meat and milk.
