Common Names: Red sesbania

Plant Form: Deciduous shrub or small tree. Size: Up to 4 m tall. Stem: Many slender branches. Leaves: Dark green, 10-20 cm long, with pointed tip at end. Flowers: Bright red, showy pea-like flowers, in hanging clusters. Fruit and Seeds: Brown rough pods 6-8 cm long with a sharply pointed tip, containing 4-10 seeds. Habitat: Swampland, shrubland, wetlands, woodlands, forests.
