Plant Form: Bushy herb. Size: 7-60 cm tall. Stem: Covered in silky hairs giving a greyish-green appearance. Conform to ground contours. Often lie flat curving upwards. Leaves: Linear or lance-shaped, alternating along stem, densely covered in hairs sometimes giving a greyish appearance. Flat or curved downward at edges and with a small point at end. Flowers: Compact clusters of circular bright yellow flowerheads up to 1.5 cm across. With papery yellow petals surrounding. Fruit and Seeds: Tiny cylindrical capsules tightly clustered on old flower heads. Containing small warty crowned seeds which have feathery parachuting hairs. Habitat: This native plant occurs in a broad range of environments including woodlands, grasslands, arid areas, coastal scrub, forests. Distinguishing Features: Distinguished from non-native daisy species (Asteraceae) by clustered papery flowers and hairy greyish folaige. Impacts: Note - this is a native plant
