Common Names: Green amaranth

Plant Form: Spreading upright herb. Size: Up to 1 m tall. Stem: Green, smooth, hairless or slightly hairy. Leaves: Hairless, egg-shaped to almost triangular. With smooth edges and pointed tips. Flowers: Tiny 3-petaled greenish, pinkish or brownish. In the leaf forks. Fruit and Seeds: Tiny with wrinkled surface. Containing a single warty blackish seed. Habitat: Old gardens, riparian areas, urban areas, pastures, parkland.
